What do Neurasmus fees cover ?
Tuition fees for the Neurasmus program are comprehensive and include a wide range of support and services to enhance the student experience.
As a Neurasmus student, your tuition covers:
- Access to the Neurasmus Welcome Days, ensuring a smooth transition into the program.
- Full access to all Neurasmus courses and workshops, including those offered through the Main Study Track and Student Personal Training Plan.
- Student services assistance at each partner university, following local regulations.
- Use of partner university libraries and adherence to their policies.
- Use of IT infrastructures, such as computer labs and online resources, in accordance with university rules.
- Participation in extra-curricular activities organized by the Neurasmus program.
- Comprehensive insurance coverage through APRIL International, provided during Welcome Days.

Tuition fees
The tuition fees are standardized across all study tracks, ensuring transparency:
- For Partner Country students: €4,500 per semester (€18,000 for the full two-year program).
- For Program Country students: €2,250 per semester (€9,000 for the full two-year program).
These fees are allocated to cover local tuition fees, program management, and the organization of events like the Summer Schools, Orientation Week, and Neurocomputational Workshops.
Living and travel expenses:
Students are responsible for their own living and travel costs. As European cities can vary in cost of living, we encourage thorough research into the partner cities to plan a realistic budget. The Neurasmus program does not provide financial assistance for these expenses.
Your guide to tuition and financing
Taking the first step toward becoming a Neurasmate is simple with our clear and well-structured admission process. Below, you’ll find all the information you need to prepare your application and embark on this life-changing journey.
Applying as a self-funded candidate
Self-funded students must plan their finances carefully to cover tuition fees and additional costs such as housing, food, transportation, and personal expenses. The Neurasmus team recommends preparing a realistic budget to ensure a smooth academic journey.
External grants & financing
For candidates seeking financial support, there are numerous external grants and scholarships available locally, nationally, or internationally. While the Neurasmus Coordination Office does not directly manage these funding options, we encourage candidates to explore external resources to ease financial burdens.
Examples of External Grants:
- National Programs: Many countries offer scholarships for students studying abroad.
- International Organizations: Consider applying to programs like Erasmus+, which provide funding for education mobility.
- Local Support: Universities and regional organizations may offer tailored grants for eligible students.

Tips for securing funding:
- Start early: Research funding opportunities well before application deadlines.
- Tailor your application: Align your motivations and academic goals with the requirements of each funding body.
- Stay organized: Keep track of deadlines and required documents for each grant application.
