Among all the master’s programs from Erasmus Mundus, I felt more attracted by Neurasmus because of the structure and specialization areas offered by the program. Moreover, Neurasmus was undoubtedly able to provide me with something I always wanted: study in a program with high-quality universities and have contact with people from different countries and cultures. I feel pleased to be part of it, and I am sure it was one of the best decisions I have ever had. I strongly recommend the program to all who seek to deepen their knowledge in the neuroscience field.

Hi, my name is Carmen, I’m from Mexico and I have a background in Genomic Science. I chose Neurasmus because it is a very integrative program that comprices many fields in Neuroscience while allowing us students to choose from a variety of specialization options for the second year of the masters. In addition, Neurasmus’ mobility scheme lets us see how science is done in different countries and allows us to meet people from different backgrounds, making the full Neurasmus experience a very fulfilling journey not only academically but also personally.

I discovered the NEURASMUS program back in 2021 and was immediately fascinated by the program's design. You will be introduced to the basic concepts of neuroscience during the first year and allowed to do a specialization in second year. This fits perfectly with my background, which was not specialized in neuroscience.

Besides allowing me to pursue my passion in Neuroscience, the Neurasmus program exposed me to multiple factors important to become a successful researcher. It allowed me to attend lab rotations where I got to work hand in hand with experts in the field and attend well-structured courses that profoundly deepened
my knowledge, developed my critical thinking, and challenged the ways I thought of science. It provided me with the great challenge of going out of my comfort zone,
allowing me to study and live in two new countries, at the same time immersing myself in new cultures and learning new languages. Besides that, it allowed me to
learn from and share my experience with local and international students from various educational and cultural backgrounds. I believe that its highly
interdisciplinary program and its multicultural perspective allowed me to obtain the knowledge needed to develop the focus of my interest, prepare me to pursue PhD in
future, and one day succeed as a researcher in Neuroscience. I am extremely happy and proud to be part of this program and the Neurasmus family.

There are several reasons why I chose Neurasmus. First thing is the unique opportunity to study in several universities that offer best Neuroscience Msc programs. Second one is that Neurasmus has different study tracks that allowed me to pick the study plan according to my scientific interests. Finally, I really like the Neurasmus community. It's so interesting to meet people from all over the world and go through all the study and mobility adventures together.

The international environment that Neurasmus has to offer was the key component that made this program my first choice. It allowed me to connect with professors and students from various backgrounds, and although different, with the same love for neuroscience. This internationalisation made the program one of the highest in terms of education in Europe as well as worldwide, and at the same time building a wonderful Neurasmus family that will last forever.

No other program offers the same degree of internationalization as Neurasmus. Having the opportunity to live in two (or even three!) countries and study in reputable universities with varying specializations is an edge for scientists-in-training to explore neuroscience with different perspectives.

I chose Neurasmus out of other programmes because of its flexibility and the range of possibilities that it offers. Neurasmus treats each student in a very individual way and allows to develop our carrier at the international level. Beyond this, I appreciate all the effort that is put to make our environment family-like.
Maria Riscado Ramos
As a Neurasmus student, being part of a multicultural expert-student cohort within an organization so driven to explore such innovative disciplines is a unique opportunity. Being able to settle in different countries whilst studying techniques in a field as thrilling as Neuroscience has aided me in transforming into the multidisciplinary neuroscientist and individual I have always aspired to become.

Neurasmus offers neuro-education that can be optimized to your academic/scientific interests. I get exposure to different research communities and am free to explore new topics. This makes Neurasmus stand-out among many other neuro-programs. Another educational aspect of the mobility program is the cultural exchange, where I get to learn not only about new cultures, but also put mine into perspective and grow to appreciate it. Last but not least are the new people: friends/comrades/mentors/geniuses, all there to be part of your life.
Morgane Ruffel
Hello, I am Morgane! I chose the Neurasmus program because it gives me the opportunity to study Neuroscience in three different countries, with each one bringing me a valuable new perspective on science. I am persuaded that multiculturality makes us better scientists, and pushes us to do new scientific discoveries and ideas. The partner universities all have an excellent academic level. These two years also allow me to build a very large network, which I know will be very useful for the next part of my studies and career. The fact that this master's program offers a lot of experience of working in laboratories was really something I searched for when applying to master's programs, and I think the Neurasmus program is really equilibrated between courses and internships. As a french person, I also know I wanted to do my master's in english, because of its importance in international communication and scientific publications, unfortunately it isn't an opportunity easy to find in France. I am very grateful to have been selected to this program, and can't wait to see what's next!

After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Botany and Microbiology from Egypt, I worked as a research assistant on biomedical and biotechnology related-projects, from which I gained hands-on and theoretical experience. Although I enjoyed my research, I developed a more extraordinary passion for Neuroscience, realizing that, progress in this field could save many lives. The shocking facts about neurodegenerative diseases are one of the reasons why I chose to focus on neuroscientific research and I found that the Neurasmus program will certainly enable me to explore the neuro-scientific research field in an international context.
Having the chance to get a holistic view of various research scopes in neuroscience will broaden my interests and help me make informed decisions about my future scientific field choices. Therefore, the track that I have indicated as my first choice was Track 4, the first year at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin where I will be exposed to a robust and comprehensive curriculum in the nervous system structure, neurophysiology, and clinical neuroscience besides two lab rotations to boost my partial experience.
I do appreciate the chance that Neurasmus gave me to be one of the selected scholars and to follow my passion

I have chosen to apply for the Neurasmus programme because of my eagerness to unravel the mysteries of the human brain, with the aim to understand how it works and what happens when it doesn’t. I think this programme represented the best opportunity for me to gain knowledges and competences necessary to work in the field of neuroscience, thanks to the basic courses offered during the first year, useful to build up a strong neuroscientific background, and thanks to the two internship projects we need to work on during the two years. I also value the international experience that this programme provides, because it’s giving me the possibility to meet amazing new people from all over the world to share my experience with.

When I first came across Neurasmus on the internet, I knew this was the program for me. Neurasmus provides the right tools for students who are just starting out in neuroscience but also lays the groundwork for a career afterwards because of the extensive neuroscience networks we can build in more than one European country. That was what stood out to me about Neurasmus - the quality of the program combined with its unique mobility aspect. I thought it was fun, new and will challenge me in all the right ways. Two months into the program, I couldn't have been more right. Neurasmus has already pushed me and made me grow. The cherry on top - meeting my fellow neuroscience enthusiasts "Neurasmates" <3 I am excited to see what this journey has in store for me!

I picked Neurasmus for a few reasons. I wanted a program that would set me up well for a future PhD in neuroscience, and the research focus of this master's program is perfect for that. The mobility program is also an excellent way to see how research is done at different institutions - allowing you to diversify your scientific techniques and promoting innovation. Finally, being thrown into new countries and cities can really push you out of your comfort zone, helping you grow not only as a scientist but as an individual too.

I chose Neurasmus for its international mobility at different prestigious Universities in Europe. It has been truly amazing to study neurosciences in a multicultural environment, personally and professionally speaking. I have been able to meet and bond with people from all over the world, sharing the same passion for research and science development, as well as to learn from top scholars at the field. Although it is an intense master program, this has been a wonderful and productive experience.
