The variety of applications and remarkably rapid progress in the field of Neuroscience have attracted me ever since I was a teenager. The Neurasmus master program allowed me to explore this interest in a meaningful and exciting way. The program offers you the opportunity to work with people from various backgrounds and universities. Thus I have been able to experience first hand how different perspectives can contribute to better scientific research and academic attitudes. I am 100% convinced that the collaboration between different institutes is a great added value in the academic world, as it allows for a deeper insight in several topics. Additionally, being thrown into new situations gave me that extra push to explore new places and meet new people. Getting out of your comfort zone can be scary, but it allowed me to meet the most wonderful people and I got some amazing friends out of it. Whilst the Neurasmus program can be challenging, I think anyone who doesn't shy away from adventure and is passionate about science would benefit from it.
